Being an economic analyst in the financial sector for 20 years, I have heavily depended on work with information. This embraced not only work with the information I analyzed and subsequently made public, but also on the perception of the analytical output and releases by the competition.
In the early days of my career, e-mail was essentially used only to transfer information within the office and very few companies possessed web sites. Fax and messenger were the fastest media. Over the past 20 years, work with information has changed, quantitatively, beyond recognition: brand-new media has emerged together with new information vistas and handling approaches, including new demands for feedback. Thanks to companies such as NEWTON Media and their structured products we now know who has the say on relevant issues, how often he does it, and what issues are accentuated in the media environment, and due to careful observations and analytical work we can learn much about the current media trends.
Work with information has changed its quality and the sheer scope of information provided has acquired dimensions so enormous one can easily loose his bearings. So one can access the information he really needs and not waste his time and resources, he needs an interaction with the agencies that can professionally handle information.
